Gingham is a popular fashion trend right now. When I walked into H&M a few weeks ago I saw quite a few gingham printed outfits so the trend is here to stay for Fall. I fell in love with this gingham top because it is perfect for everyday casual wear and is under $30.
I paired this top with my favorite new H&M jeans that have been fitting like a dream. Since this is more of a casual top, I paired it with one of my favorite sneakers and it is perfect for weekend wear running errands, grabbing lunch with your girlfriends or a perfect back to school outfit. Easy to style tops are perfect if you are busy and in a hurry.
If you wanted to style this top for night I can see it with some black jeans and black leather heels. You can easily transform this top to more trendy evening wear and it is quick and easy.
Have you purchased any gingham items this season? What are your thoughts on the trend? Leave a comment below.

Lucas: Costume – Amazon / Shirt – Target
Hey guys! I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween weekend. We did some trick or treating this year and Lucas was a train conductor and I was a witch. Usually I love doing big costumes and going all out for Halloween, but it felt so good to just relax this year and not go to big. But next year, I am already thinking of our costumes and I would really love to do something big. I use to spend my Halloween’s in the city and since we moved to the suburbs we hardly do that anymore. I want to next year at least do the Halloween parade in NYC and maybe some serious trick or treating for Lucas.
I wore this new H&M sweater as my “black” for being a witch, it is so comfy. I bought it as a random pick up, I didn’t even try it on in store and I have been wearing it non stop. It is definitely a must purchase. I also decided to buy this new tote from H&M. I have been looking for a larger black tote, something not too costly, but easy to throw everything when trying to get out the door. Camera, bottle of water, some food and cars for Lucas. I wanted it to be tote style so I can just open and grab what I need, I don’t know if any other Mama’s have a demanding 2 year old, but when Lucas gets hangry, watch out!
I hope everyone’s week is going great. We are in full force fall here and I really can’t wait until all things Christmas!
Romper: H&M / Vest: Marshalls find similar here / Shoes: old similar here
Last week was Fashion Week was here in New York City and it was so much fun. We went all around Manhattan and went to a few different studios where some of the shows were held (Milk and Made studios to be exact). I wore this Romper from H&M and it is on sale now if you want to snag any end of season sale deals. I also wore a light tan suede vest I got at Marshalls a few weeks ago. My outfit was a mix of end of summer (it was 90 degrees this day) and soon to be fall, which I can’t wait for!
On our New York fashion week day we also met Sazan Hendrix & Teni Panosian at the Standard where they hosted their meet up. They are so nice and wonderful, inspiring ladies. We also stopped by the Gigi shop in the Meatpacking and took a look around to see the collection. Looking forward to next years fashion week!
Loved meeting Patricia from www.cocotrish.com and her son Chase is so adorable.
Crafts table, Lucas preferred to run around the store and explore. Maybe in a few more months he will be able to do some crafts.
My little explorer. Always something in both hands! Thanks to my mom for making the little crown for him.
The mock runway H&M had at the event. So much fun.
Beauty bar where you can get your nails done.
The most delicious pastries!

Happy Monday! I hope you guys had an amazing weekend. It is finally spring, hopefully the weather starts to warm up soon. I have so many spring dresses I can’t wait to wear. Did you guys do anything fun this weekend? We went to the H&M in Time Square for the H&M Ultimate Playdate event. H&M hosted an event Sunday morning, along with heymama.co for moms to attend where there was a beauty bar, arts and crafts section for kids, on site baby sitting, and the most delicious pastries ever. They also had a DJ and Lucas loves music so much so he had such a great time listening to the music. There was also a really fun mock “runway” with pretty much the most amazing / flattering lights ever that you can walk down and pretend you are on a runway.
I got to meet so many other moms including Patricia from www.cocotrish.com and Amber from www.barefootblonde.com. It was great to meet other mom / bloggers and share some mommy experiences with active toddlers. The women at heymama.co are so nice and if you haven’t checked their site already, take a look because it is a great site supporting women and valuable articles. After the event we came back home and got Carvel ice cream for Lucas because he turned 18 months old! Time is definitely flying.

I saw this coat on Walk in Wonderland and Style Cusp instagrams and loved it. I had to purchase it and for $30 how could you not? It is super stylish and kept me warm on this shoot. I also randomly picked up this purse in some of our shopping before Disney. Fringe is in and I am looking to getting a suede jacket with fringe, too much?? I am planning on wearing this purse on repeat this weekend in a super casual style, will post so you guys can see the versatility. Also, these pumps are classic, fit well and are on sale for $39.99. You’re welcome!
