Yesterday I spoke about my fashion shoot at the Brooklyn Bridge, today I am bringing you to Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Williamsburg has a special place in my heart because it is the part of Brooklyn I grew up in, went to school and got married in. And those views!!!
I just got this new target jacket on clearance, it is perfect for transitioning into spring. I love the print, it is perfect for Williamsburg and the hipster scene that is there. It is so fun and you can wear it with a lot of different styles. I am wearing it with denim jeans but I can also see it worn with white jeans to bring in that spring look. I also love that this jacket ties very easily and I can throw it on when it starts to get chilly. There are a ton of great Target finds, and shopping at Target is becoming one of my favorite places to shop for clothes. Especially deals and steals. Where is your favorite place to shop for budget friendly pieces?
Sharing a spring fashion look I did a few weeks ago with my friend Arazelly at the Brooklyn Bridge. I wore this look on Easter weekend but did a mini shoot with her for fun to officially shoot this look.
Arazelly is such a great photographer (as you can see from the pics) and as I am getting more into photography and this fashion blog thing, thought we would do a fun mini shoot by the bridge. If you haven’t been there is so much to do by Brooklyn Bridge Park. There is Grimaldi’s pizza, Jane’s Carousel, the park has so many activities itself especially in the summer like the kids water lab, soccer fields, walking and biking paths, etc…I also love walking in downtown Brooklyn near all the shops. If you are ever in NYC don’t miss going to Brooklyn and of course walking the Brooklyn Bridge (so beautiful!).
This past weekend we celebrated my husband’s 33rd Birthday with friends and family with a small BBQ at our house. It is finally getting warm and beautiful here in NYC and I am so excited for this weather. It is making me plan and book all of our summer trips. Do you guys have any great summer plans??
Swimsuit & Cover up: Old Navy last season // Lucas – Swim Truncks & Rash Guard: Carters last season// James – Swim Trunks: Ralph Lauren
Happy Friday! I hope you all have wonderful weekend plans. We are going to have a bit more of a relaxing weekend. I am going to do some at home pampering and just relax. Lucas turns 18 months old on Sunday, I can’t believe how big he is getting, so I am trying to decide if we will celebrate with cookies or ice cream.
We are reminiscing about our trip to Orlando a few weeks ago. I am sharing pictures from our last day there. We just relaxed at the hotel, which we stayed at the JW Marriott Grand Lakes. This was our first time staying at a JW Marriott and the hotel was amazing. There are so many restaurants on site and it connected to the Ritz Carlton which really doubled the size of the hotel, including the food and dining options. The hotel offers free shuttles to the Disney parks, which is very convenient. The last day we ate at the buffet breakfast in the hotel and it was sooo good. We always love ordering custom omelette’s and my diet went out the door that day. I had the works of bacon, ham & cheese. My husband sticked to his diet and ordered an egg white and spinach omelette. We ordered Lucas mickey mouse shaped pancakes, from the suggestion of our waiter, and a cheese omelette, he loved both so much. He never eats my pancakes, but he loved theirs (of course…). The buffet also had an array of eggs, hash browns, croissants, etc… We battled the stomach bug at the beginning of the trip and we were finally feeling better by the end, so we went all out.
The hotel has a lazy river, which to tell you the truth was one of the main draws to stay at the hotel. It was a lot of fun, we went on the river several times. We got Lucas a baby raft but he just wanted to stay on my lap whenever we went on the lazy river. We also spent a lot of time just playing in the pool, Lucas loved the water and it was just a nice relaxing day. The best part about Orlando is everything is so kid friendly so all the hotels are really kid friendly. Our hotel offered a kid activities center, a playground and really shallow pools so I felt Lucas was always safe when he played in the water, but of course I was always by his side. I can’t wait to go back to Orlando when he is a bit older, maybe again around 3 or 4.
Happy Friday and have a wonderful weekend! If you didn’t get a chance to watch our travel diary to Orlando, watch it below, it recaps our entire trip. Xoxo.
Sharing our day in Epcot when we went to Disney World a few weeks ago. The one thing that I like about Epcot is that it is a little less busy than Magic Kingdom, all the rides we went on had a 15 minute wait or less, and there was just more space for Lucas to run around. Lucas had his worst meltdown / tantrum to date at Epcot, I think specifically in the country “Marrakesh” but we made it through, besides that it was a really fun day. My favorite part about Epcot is always the different countries. I love to travel so much I really love how Epcot really transports you to each country. Our favorites are London, Paris & Germany. I went a few years back, pre hubby, and did “drinks around the world” with a girlfriend of mine and it was so much fun. This time we just had A beer in Germany haha, how times have changed.
We were still getting over the stomach bug so I didn’t eat much here, but I want to go back and eat in every single country, I love all the exotic foods. If you didn’t get a chance, take a look at my Magic Kingdom post and below is our travel diary highlighting our entire trip. We are already trying to plan our next vacation.
From the pics it looks like I wore three different outfits but I had my new floral kimono top from Forever21, which is a fav of mine right now, and I wore the same black jacket that is my favorite and has been on repeat, and a grey Forever21 cardigan. Going to Florida in February, it was cold in the mornings and then the warmest in the afternoon and then cold again at night. So we had to bring several layers for all of us because we spent most of the day / early evening at the parks.
I hope everyone is getting used to the daylight savings time, I always feel extra tired this first week and Lucas’ schedule is so thrown off right now. Hopefully a few more days and we will be back on track.
Sharing our pictures from Disney World! It was a quick getaway for 5 days, but it was so much fun. Lucas LOVES Mickey Mouse so much so it was so great to see his face when he met Mickey Mouse. While we were on line he was smiling so much and then we got up close to Mickey he got so shy, it was so cute. He didn’t cry meeting any of the characters, we met Mickey, Goofy, Donald and then some characters throughout the parks like Snow White & Jasmine. Disney / Orlando is so big, I feel like you need weeks in Orlando to see everything. We can’t wait to go back.
Check out our first ever Travel Diary / Vlog down below. Any Vlogging tips would be greatly appreciated. I did an overlay with music because I felt like we would be just too boring without it, but let me know any good tips you may have!
Our second day in Montauk was really relaxing. I wasn’t even planning on posting these pictures but it was such a beautiful day and we ended up taking pictures walking around the resort so I decided to share. Gurneys is so amazing. It is huge, and during the summer must be so busy and so relaxing at the same time. It is right on the water which is breathtaking.
We had the breakfast buffet at Gurneys and had such a delicious omelette. After breakfast we checked out, then we did a little outlet shopping and then headed back home to spend the rest of the night with Lucas. We were going to go to the lighthouse but James & I have both been on past visits and we wanted to head back home to make it in time before Lucas went to bed. Such parents now haha :)!!
Hope everyone is getting ready for the weekend. Any cool costumes planned? Lucas is going to be a lion and I keep going back & forth between leopard or sugar skull.
Hi Guys! Yesterday, I posted about this teal coat that I love and so many cute similar styles. Well the dress I wore underneath the coat, is such a good find. I ordered it online from Target, it was a bit big so I would order a size down. It is really comfortable & super cute. I wanted to look really cute for our date night in Montauk, but wanted to be comfortable at the same time which this dress allowed. I loved the open shoulder look and if I had more time to get ready before our date night I would have done a really cute hairstyle up so you can really see the open shoulders and make that feature pop. By the way, I am not a big stockings girl but if it is cold and I have to wear them I ONLY wear the ones I linked to. I love them, they make the legs look amazing and are so soft. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Tuesday.
Parka, had a ton of styles to choose from in teal colors, for the winter – here
I am reminiscing about our weekend getaway last weekend to Montauk. We stayed at Gurneys and it was amazing. Right on the water and so beautiful and relaxing. It was a nice getaway, our first without Lucas, but a fun one night trip just James & I. Gurneys had so much fun stuff going on like an ice skating rink, an amazing spa, wonderful restaurants and of course a wedding was going on – black tie and everyone looked amazing!
We took some pictures before dinner and I did not expect to take pictures of this jacket. It is actually old, and isn’t made anymore but it is really one of my favorites. I wear it all Fall. I linked to some similar ones above and one I would love to purchase but is too much of a splurge right now (maybe a christmas gift from the hubs??). One of my favorite colors is teal, which is why I think I love this coat so much.
This past weekend we decided to do a weekend getaway to Monatuk. We stopped at Macari wines on the way, which is one of my favorite wineries on the north fork. My favorite wine is the chardonnay “early wine” but to tell you the truth all their wines are delicious. It was a nice getaway and our first where my husband and I both left Lucas overnight. We missed our big boy, but it was a nice little getaway. It is so different when you don’t have to follow a baby’s schedule and you can kind of do things as you want. After the wineries we did a quick stop at an apple picking field, there we tried apple cider donuts for the first time. OMG!! They were delicious and life changing. I am still craving them.
