Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. We had such a wonderful weekend relaxing and celebrating Father’s Day. One of the best things about Father’s Day is the weather, here in New York City it is always gorgeous weather. Lightweight tees are the best for summer weather. They let the air flow through, aren’t too hot and are still really flattering. I love neutral colors too because they do not keep the heat in and you are usually cooler. This top I am wearing from Nordstrom Rack is so flattering, I love the high low style of the top. I linked to a few similar as I couldn’t find my exact one, I actually purchased this top in person and not online, shocking for a huge avid online shopper like myself, but the ones I linked are so cute and are also perfect for the warm weather.
What is everyone’s summer plans? We are trying to decide on some upcoming vacations. We also have a lot of house work planned (exciting stuff I know). Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday.
Jacket: Nordstrom Rack – BCBGeneration sold out in army green but available in navy blue / Jeans: Gap / Shoes: Old, similar here
I am completely in love with this army green jacket. I saw it at Nordstrom Rack and knew I had to have it, it also comes in navy blue which is such a great color and would match perfectly with jeans. This jacket is such a statement jacket and I love it paired with black heels. I would wear this jacket on girls night our or date night for a wonderful impact. It is under $75, and the green color is true army green. I wore the jacket both open, so you can see the cascading affect, as well as closed so you can see the statement it brings with the belt across the waist. Absolutely beautiful. This jacket is more fancy than your typical army green jacket and Nordstrom rack has a few casual options that I like here and here. If you are looking for a statement jacket, this is the jacket to own. This week it is in the 90s but it is going to cool down here in New York City again starting Wednesday and I can’t wait to wear this jacket when the cooler weather arrives.
I hope everyone had a terrific weekend. We just relaxed at home and I got my hair straightened for the summer. I am going to do a YouTube video on my hair straightening experience for you guys. It has been 9 months since I got my hair chemically straightened, and I am going to go over the pros and cons and the experience and so you can see the results. It makes managing your hair in the summer so much easier.
Hope everyone is having a great start to their week. Happy Monday! We are going to play with water tables today, woohoo.
Shirt: Nordstrom / Jeans: Gap / Sunglasses: Versace
I am loving tie knot tee’s lately. They are so stylish and my favorite way is to wear them with jeans, or shorts when the weather gets warmer. I am loving this one from Nordstrom rack, linked above. It is a bit sheer and I am wearing it with a tank underneath, but it is light weight and perfect for summer. The green is a light green, but I love that I could pair with a variety of accessories like darker greens, oranges, whites and grays. It also comes in a variety of colors and fits true to size, it is a steal for under $20.
It is still cool here in NYC, but next week it should start getting into the 80s and starting to really feel like summer. Does anyone have wonderful summer plans? We are trying to plan our vacations now for the summer.
Sweater: Gap sold out, similar here and here (non-maternity) / Jeans: Gap Maternity, non maternity here / Coat: Express old, similar here and here (under $20!) / Boots: Steve Madden / Bag: Urban Outfitters
Spring is coming to a near end and I thought I would share one of my favorite spring trends. I love this aqua blue sweater, it is one of my favorite colors and it is so warm and cozy. It is maternity, but I linked to a few similar sweater above, non-maternity. I also love a good trench coat and these ruffles on the coat are too cute and make the outfit super stylish. I can see this outfit made for summer by replacing long jeans with shorts, a short sleeve aqua sweater and a light tan jacket or sweater for summer nights.
These pictures were taken my last few weeks pregnant and I can’t believe I was this pregnant and now Aria has been here for over 2 months. She is such an angel and I can’t wait on giving you guys more of an update on her.
Hope everyone is getting ready to have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend and has some exciting plans. We are planning on keeping it low key, maybe a few BBQs but just relaxing for most of the weekend.

Sharing today my favorite spring sweater. I love purple so much and this sweater is so warm and cozy. Spring in New York means mild temperatures, think 50 degrees, and this sweater is so perfect for those mild spring temperatures. This sweater is from gap and under $100. It is maternity but I am also linking to non maternity sweaters as well. The lavender is also the perfect shade and compliments so well. My sweater has sold out but I linked to similar ones above. I also can’t believe these pictures were taken when I was pregnant. It is so amazing how the time flew.
Dress: Forever21 / Shoes: Jessica Simpson / Headwreath: Custom made by my mom 🙂
Sharing a few pictures from my maternity shoot I did almost 2 months ago with this gorgeous lace spring dress. I love lace so much, it is literally my favorite. I want to wear lace all spring because it is so feminine and girly and exactly how I am. This dress is non maternity, and under $50 from Forever21. It is such a steal. Forever21 has really been having so many looks I am loving lately and such affordable fashion. I am going to get ready to do a big spring shoot all non maternity clothes (yay!), and can’t wait to share with you guys what I end up finding.
I can’t believe it has been almost 2 months since my maternity shoot and that my pregnancy is over. Aria is such a dream, she just eats, sleeps and poops haha. I didn’t get around to doing a bump update while I was pregnant, so below is a list of a few questions I was asked during my pregnancy to share with you guys.
- How much weight did I gain? 35 pounds
- Did I get any stretch marks? Nope and I only got them on my boobs with Lucas during the first trimester. With Lucas I used Bio oil to prevent stretch marks and with Aria I used this organic butter stretch mark I ordered off Amazon. The Bio oil worked great but I was so sensitive to smell with Aria I had to find something that had less smell.
- Did I get any morning sickness? Yes a ton, I lost 7 pounds in the first trimester and the morning sickness really didn’t go away until 16 or 18 weeks. I did end up having a girl and she had a full head of hair. So maybe the old wives tales are true?
- Did I get swollen feet or legs? Nope, not with either pregnancy.
- When did I start wearing maternity clothes in my pregnancy? Around 13 weeks I went into maternity jeans because they are so comfy. I never really liked the belly bandit for maternity jeans for me. For the other clothes I really tried hard to size up in non maternity clothes.
- Did I get heartburn with my pregnancies? I did with both, but it was a lot worse with Aria I had to really stay strict with what I ate, portion sizes, time of day or had to rely on tums to help a girl out.
- Did I face more mood swings or was I more emotional? Both, definitely a lot of mood swings, more than with Lucas and I am always pretty emotional but I was a bit more with this pregnancy.
- When did I start to show? I started to show sometime in the second trimester. I wasn’t “larger” the second time around, I was actually smaller I am not sure if it was because I was carrying a girl.
- When did I share the news? We usually share the news around the 12 weeks mark and try and get everyone informed by 20 weeks. We are superstitious so we like to wait until we are more into the pregnancy to share the news.
- Are you nursing? Yes, I nursed Lucas and I am nursing Aria. My boobs are huge!!
Sweater: Target / Jeans: Gap / Sneakers: Nike
Today I am sharing my favorite Athleisure look. Athleisure has really been my go to for comfortability lately, especially while I was pregnant. Running around with a good pair of sneakers (I usually wear Nike) is really key, it helped with my lower back pain a lot and keeping my balance. I paired this super soft and comfy Target sweater with some jeans, sneakers and I am ready to head out the door. It is so easy and stylish and I am able to run mom errands all day long. I also did a post last year on Ahtleisure and wore leggings with my look. You can really style the athleisure look as detailed or laid back as you like.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day xoxo.
Dress: Free People / Shoes: DSW / Turtleneck: Target / Coat: Old similar here and here
I hope everyone had a great weekend. We explored Manhattan on Saturday and we got a mini snow storm on Sunday. We also started to get ready for Valentine’s Day this week. I got my beautiful red roses which I love because I get to appreciate them longer. We also planned our Valentine’s Day dinner menu, we always do a quiet dinner at home every year. We are having chilean sea bass and bacon wrapped scallops and non-alcoholic champagne.
Since I am due in a few short weeks we are taking it easy on the weekends and trying to finish getting ready for baby girl. I am sharing this fun Free People dress today. It is non-maternity but bump friendly. It is velvet material and so soft, the color really pops especially with an all black turtleneck. When we took these pictures we were so surprised at how amazing the color really looked. It also comes in Navy Blue and is definitely a win and is currently on sale for under $100. I can see transitioning this dress into Spring with a lace cami underneath instead of a turtleneck to cooperate with the warmer weather to come.
What are your Valentine’s Day plans? Do you prefer to wear traditional red on Valentine’s Day or something different such as black, pink or a pop of color on Valentine’s Day? Do you go out or stay in or celebrate with the girls?

I am loving this spring suede jacket. I am wearing it in Olive, but it also comes in grey and tan and I am loving those colors as well. It is on sale for under $30 from Nordstrom rack and is such a steal. It is perfect for spring when the temperature starts to warm up. I also love pairing it with a nude chiffon top, also from Nordstrom rack, I linked to a few similar as the one I bought in September is sold out.
Looking at these pictures makes me realize how much bigger baby girl is getting, a few short weeks we get to meet her and I am so excited. We are setting up the crib this weekend and the bedding has been ordered. I am just ordering the lighting for her nursery. I can’t wait! Once she is here we will do a blog post on her nursery, which I am hoping will come out perfectly.

I am loving oversized sweaters lately. It is part of my current maternity style, which of course also includes duster cardigans as I mentioned in yesterday’s post. Oversized sweaters are just so cozy and are a perfect maternity piece. If you aren’t expecting is is such a great winter piece. We only have a few more short weeks until Spring arrives and I am so excited!
I am wearing a Forever21 basic grey sweater and you really can’t go wrong with grey and black. Surprisingly, I am wearing a size medium. I love that I can get away with basic clothing at a larger size, it is really helping keep my style trendy. However, with a few more weeks to go I have been wearing more standard maternity clothing.
I am really loving all of Forever21 clothes lately. They are so affordable and are really trendy and up to date with style. There are so many spring styles I love and I can’t wait until the spring when I can wear them after baby.
